Meet Tracy!

Hi! I’m Tracy Schultz, owner and operator of 1SW Designs,

I has a degree in Residential and Architectural Drafting, with the majority of my career being in the building materials industry. I’ve sold anything and everything to build a home! I worked in cabinet design for over 25 years, including selling Mid Continent Cabinetry (one of my primary dealers today) for all but two of those years. I first started working at a lumberyard and then moved to working for a cabinet wholesaler.

When I started 1SW Design Consulting and Sales 2 ½ years ago it was based on the desire to give my clients, whether they were my consulting clients or my direct sales clients, a very high level of customer care. I believe that going through the process of remodeling or building should be fun! Don't get me wrong — it can be stressful, too but the people helping you should never add to that stress. I love being part of people's process and helping them see their dream home/room/etc. come through in the end.

I am a recent transplant to the McGregor area, having moved here in 2023 with my daughters. I grew up in Fredericksburg, Iowa and in 2020 I met a gentleman, Jeremy Schultz (and yes — read that again we do have the same last name, HA!) from McGregor. Fast forward to 2023, we found ourselves making a home in rural McGregor. 

I have four children, my son is 23 and lives in Waverly, my oldest daughter is going into her Junior year at Iowa State, majoring in Agronomy, my middle daughter is going into her Sophomore year at MFL MarMac High School and my youngest her 8th grade year at the MFL MarMac - McGregor Center. They keep us very busy with all their sports and activities!

On New Years Eve Jeremy proposed! So, now in the midst of our busy lives we are also planning a November wedding. We like to camp and go horseback riding in the summer and fall weather. In the winter you will find me doing my single favorite hobby — cross stitching.  I love to create things! I also have a hobby business with my Cricut making all sorts of fun things.
